Coffee TIME

The benefits of drinking coffee

I love coffee. I don't think that my day goes by without drinking some coffee. :) Black, white, cappuccino, and all other variations- all depends of the time and my humor. Recently, I came across an article which I really liked! My mom always say me that I drink it too much. Fortunately, the devil is not so black as he's painted. :)

…. Coffee Can Fight Depression and Make You Happier
Depression is a serious mental disorder that causes a significantly reduced quality of life. It is incredibly common and about 4.1% of people in the U.S. currently meet the criteria for clinical depression. In a Harvard study published in 2011, women who drank 4 or more cups per day had a 20% lower risk of becoming depressed .Another study with 208,424 individuals found that those who drank 4 or more cups per day were 53% less likely to commit suicide .

….Coffee May Lower Your Risk of Type II Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is a gigantic health problem, currently afflicting about 300 million people worldwide. It is characterized by elevated blood sugars in the context of insulin resistance or an inability to secrete insulin. For some reason, coffee drinkers have a significantly reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The studies show that people who drink the most coffee have a 23-50% lower risk of getting this disease, one study showing a reduction as high as 67%. According to a massive review that looked at data from 18 studies with a total of 457,922 individuals, each daily cup of coffee was associated with a 7% reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes .Bottom Line: Several observational studies show that coffee drinkers have a much lower risk of getting type II diabetes, a serious disease that currently afflicts about 300 million people worldwide.

Election...

Election official result: Duda 34.76%, Komorowski 33.77%

Tuesday morning, the PKW announced the final results of the first round of Sunday’s presidential election. A Big surprise. The opinion polls was showing completely different scores.

In total, Andrzej Duda won in 28 out of 51 electoral districts, with Bronisław Komorowski winning in the remaing 23.
Generally Duda dominated districts such as Małopolska, Podlaskie, Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie provinces. In the meantime Komorowski won Wrocław, Jelenia Góra with Wałbrzych, Łódź, Katowice, Poznań. Besides Poznań was him the biggest electoral circle. With 47.4% !
But, the greatest astonishment was Pawel Kukiz, real dark horse of this election with his 20.8%.

The presidential poll is a precursor to the parliamentary elections in October. We can well see the rise of the ‘anti-system’ candidates. Poland is tired of endless conflict PO/PIS.

Anyway, in two weeks a second ballot! Go to the polls!

Nazca

Nazca lines

Some time ago, Iza wrote on her blog about the place of her dreams. That inspired me a little bit. I thought, where I want to go really in my life? So, now, my first place to visit is Nazca. You have probably heard about this...

Spread over 500 sq km (310 sq mi) of arid, rock-strewn plain in the Pampa Colorada (Red Plain), the Nazca Lines are one of the world's great archaeological mysteries. Comprising over 800 straight lines, 300 geometric figures (geoglyphs) and 70 animal and plant drawings (biomorphs), the lines are almost imperceptible on the ground. From above, they form a striking network of stylized figures and channels, many of which radiate from a central axis.

The figures are mostly etched out in single continuous lines, while the encompassing geoglyphs form perfect triangles, rectangles or straight lines running for several kilometers across the desert.

The lines were made by the simple process of removing the dark sun-baked stones from the surface of the desert and piling them up on either side of the lines, thus exposing the lighter, powdery gypsum-laden soil below. The most elaborate designs represent animals, including a huge lizard, a monkey with an extravagantly curled tail, and a condor with a 130m (426ft) wingspan. There's also a hummingbird, spider and an intriguing owl-headed person on a hillside, popularly referred to as an astronaut because of its goldfish-bowl shaped head - though some believe it's a priest with a mystical owl's head. ...About Easter, one more time

About Easter, one more time

I want to go back once more time to Easter. Except mazurkas, table decoration takes me a long time. Usually I don't pay to much attention to it, or I eat in the city. But when it comes to Easter breakfast or Christmas Eve, I have a weakness for all those trinkets that embellish the table. :)
Luckily, my mom inhibits me effectively...in buying all this stuff.

Anyway...I can always watch...:)

Easter, Easter and after Easter. :) Anyway, I love this season. Even if the weather wasn't so conducive, I spent this time wonderfully. Cooking, baking, talking with the whole family. Endless visits. Boredom? None of these things! Homemade cakes, stuffed eggs, salads and many others...I love the hand-decorate mazurkas.. and I do it myself every year of course. :) To prove I add one my pic... from this Easter... :)

Juicy...

I recently obsessed with fresh juices... for this reason, I bought a juicer a month ago :) I chose not expensive equipment because I don't know how long I was going to like it. Expense 200 zł. Taste heavenly. :) For a few weeks, I experiment intensively. I'm looking for new mixes, fruit and vegetable connections. Celery, beetroot and carrot are my top. So many vitamins and minerals. After drinking the juice of this, I immediately feel better. Don't know how much there's my subconscious, but it works.

A few days ago I found a cafe near the university...called JUICY. (Kosciuszki street) If you like such delights, there you will find them certainly. :)
